Ungaran, December 11, 2024 – The Central Statistics Agency (BPS) of Semarang Regency held the 2024 Sectoral Statistics Technical Guidance at the BPS Hall of Semarang Regency. This activity aims to improve the understanding and capacity of Regional Apparatus Organizations (OPD) in organizing quality and accurate sectoral statistics.
This event was opened by the Head of BPS Semarang Regency, Dewi Trirahayuni, S.Si., M.Si., who also provided direction regarding the importance of collaboration and management of sectoral statistics as a basis for data-based decision making.
The activity presented two expert speakers, namely Lin Purwati, S.ST., M.Agb., with material on Evaluation of Sectoral Statistics Implementation, and Asfin Iriana, S.ST., who presented material on Evaluation of Statistical Recommendations and Metadata. Both speakers provided in-depth insights regarding sectoral data management, the importance of statistical recommendations and metadata in ensuring data integration.
Participants consisting of representatives of OPDs in Semarang Regency participated in this activity enthusiastically. Interactive discussions and Q&A sessions were important moments that provided a deeper understanding of the implementation of sectoral statistics in the field.
As a form of appreciation for OPDs that play an active role in managing statistical data, on this occasion BPS Semarang Regency also presented awards to OPDs in the following categories:
1. Best Recommendation Submission
2. Best Metadata Reporting
This award was given to encourage other OPDs to continue to improve the quality of the data presented.
Through this activity, BPS Semarang Regency hopes to improve the quality of sectoral statistics, support better decision-making, and strengthen synergy in Semarang Regency in producing accurate and relevant data.
