One of the tasks of BPS is to provide data on the productivity of food crops, one of which is through the Tiling Survey method. This survey was carried out at the time the farmers were harvesting by direct measurement in the paddy fields, on selected tiled plots measuring 2 ½ m x 2 ½ m. Food crop data collected includes rice, corn, soybeans, peanuts, cassava, and sweet potatoes.
In subround I, February 2023 BPS Semarang Regency carried out a tile survey in several sub-district sample locations, including Susukan District, Kaliwungu District, Bancak District, Bawen District, Bringin District, Sumowono District, Tengaran District and Bergas District.
One of the challenges of the Tiles survey is that this survey does not recognize the word holiday, tiles can be carried out at any time on Saturday or Sunday. Because the Ubinan survey depends on when the farmer will harvest. Hopefully, the hard work of every officer in the field will produce quality food data.
