Subround I Tile Survey on January - February 2022

One of the tasks of BPS in providing data on food crop productivity, one of which is through the Tile Survey Method. This survey is routinely carried out by BPS, the data collection period is carried out every subround (four months). The collection of productivity data is carried out at the time of harvest by farmers by direct measurement in the field (paddy fields) on tiled plots measuring 2 m x 2 m. Food crop data collected includes commodities of rice, corn, soybeans, peanuts, cassava, and sweet potatoes.

The purpose of the Tile Survey is to obtain data on the productivity of food crops which are needed in calculating the production figures for food crops.

In first subround, on January-February 2022, BPS-Statistics of Semarang Regency conducted a Tile Survey in several subdistrict locations in the Semarang Regency area. The Tile Survey was carried out in the Subdistricts of: Susukan, Kaliwungu, Bawen, Bringin, Bancak, Bergas, East Ungaran and West Ungaran.

One of the challenges of the tile survey does not recognize the word holiday, tiling can be carried out at any time on Saturday or Sunday. Because the tile survey depends on when the farmer will harvest. The hard work of officers in the field is expected to produce quality food data.
