Semarang Regency's economy in 2023 will grow 4.74 percent

Abstract

The economy of Semarang Regency in 2023 based on the Gross Regional Domestic Product (GRDP) at current prices (ADHB) reached IDR 61,284,183 million and at constant prices (ADHK) in 2010 it reached IDR 39,651,856 million.

The economy of Semarang Regency in 2023 recorded positive growth of 4.74 percent, slowing down compared to the achievement in 2022 which grew by 5.31 percent. Business fields that experienced significant growth include providing accommodation and food and drink by 10.50 percent; Information and Communication at 10.32 percent and Other Services at 8.09 percent. Meanwhile, in terms of expenditure, the highest growth occurred in the Consumption Expenditure Component of Non-Profit Institutions Serving Households (PK-LNPRT) at 7.05 percent; followed by the Household Consumption Expenditure Component (PK-RT) at 6.02 percent; and the Gross Fixed Capital Formation (PMTB) component of 5.01 percent.

Structurally, the Processing Industry business sector dominates the economic structure of Semarang Regency in 2023 with a contribution of 38.75 percent, while in terms of expenditure it is dominated by the Household Consumption Expenditure Component (PK-RT) with a contribution of 59.49 percent.
