Abstract

In October 2020, Central Java experienced inflation of 0.17 percent with a Consumer Price Index (CPI) of 104.84. Of the six CPI cities in Central Java, all cities experienced inflation. The highest inflation occurred in the city of Tegal at 0.22 percent with a CPI of 105.37

The main causes of inflation in Central Java in October 2020 were the increase in the prices of red chilies, shallots, house contracts, cooking oil, and broiler chicken. The main restraints on inflation in Central Java were the decline in the prices of broiler chicken eggs, gold jewelry, online 2-wheeled vehicle rates, watermelons, and electricity rates
