Education Profile of Semarang Regency 2023

Education is an effort to improve the quality and competitiveness of human resources. This effort can be done apart from with guidance from other people, it can also be done independently or self-taught. In the life of the nation and state, to achieve the ideals of national development, the need for high quality human resources makes education an important factor in achieving them. Education is also a right for every citizen, this is stated in the 1945 Constitution Article 31 paragraph 1. This shows the government's responsibility to provide minimum education for its citizens so they can live independently and develop their potential. Currently, education is not only seen as an individual responsibility, but also a shared responsibility between family, community and government.Education is a very important issue not only in Indonesia, but also in other countries. Therefore, this issue is an issue of the 17 Sustainable Development Goals / SDGs (Sustainable Development Goals / SDGs), namely the 4th goal, namely ensuring inclusive and equitable quality education and increasing lifelong learning opportunities for all. The education sector is one of the main directions of development set by President Joko Widodo in the 2020-2024 RPJMN as a strategy for implementing the Nawacita mission and achieving the targets of the Indonesian Vision 2045. The 2020-2024 RPJMN is the final stage of the 2005-2025 RPJPN. The main focus of education in the 2020-2024 RPJMN is improving the quality and distribution of educational services.This shows how important education is for Indonesian people, especially Semarang Regency. For example, regarding poverty, if you want to get out of the cycle of poverty, one way out is through education. The higher the level of education you have, the greater the opportunity to get a decent job. Which ultimately increases your chances of earning a promising income.
