Abstract

In December 2022, a combined six cities in Central Java experienced inflation of 0.47 percent with a Consumer Price Index (CPI) of 113.34.  Of the six CPI cities in Central Java, all cities experienced inflation.

The main cause of December 2022 inflation is the increase in the prices of rice, eggs, gold jewelry, cooking oil and purebred chicken meat.  The main restraints of inflation are the decline in prices of air transportation, spinach, oranges, kale, and long beans.

The December 2022 calendar year inflation rate is 5.63 percent and the year-on-year inflation rate (December 2022 to December 2021) is 5.63 percent.
