Central Java inflation in January 2021 was 0.22 percent

Abstract

In January 2021, Central Java experienced inflation of 0.22 percent with a Consumer Price Index (CPI) of 105.74. Of the six CPI cities in Central Java, five cities experienced inflation and one city experienced deflation. Surakarta experienced the highest inflation of 0.68 percent with a CPI of 105.32, followed by inflation in Purwokerto at 0.35 percent with a CPI of 105.23; Cilacap and Kudus each at 0.27 percent with a CPI of 104.53 and 104.94 respectively and the lowest inflation occurred in Semarang at 0.14 percent with a CPI of 106.06. Meanwhile, Tegal was the only city to experience deflation of 0.17 percent with a CPI of 106.08.
