Dialog Serasi: The Role of IPM in Regional Development

BPS-Statistics Semarang Regency again participated in Dialog Serasi on Radio of Suara Serasi 107.3 FM. Present as a speaker is the Head of BPS-Statistics Semarang Regency, Dewi Trirahayuni S.Si.,M.Si accompanied by Asfin Iriana, S.ST as the Young Expert Statistician of BPS-Statistics Semarang Regency.

This Dialog Serasi raises the topic "The Role of Human Development Index (HDI) in Regional Development". Both speakers conveyed the IPM achievement of Semarang Regency in 2024 which entered the high category of 75.67 and achieved the 12th highest IPM in Jawa Tengah Province.

The component indicators of the IPM 2024 are Life Expectancy (UHH) which reaches 76.15 years, Expectated Years of Schooling (HLS) for 13.06 years, Mean Years of Schooling (RLS) for 8.16 years, and GNI per Capita of 13.38 million rupiah per capita per year.

From the IPM figures, Dewi and Asfin also conveyed insights for the local government of Semarang Regency as policy stakeholders related to human development in Semarang Regency. In addition, how the role of society in increasing the number of HDI as a mirror of the success of human development in Semarang Regency.

In this dialogue, an interactive discussion was presented with Radio Suara Serasi listeners who conveyed questions through available channels. With this dialogue involving the community, it is expected that the increasing knowledge of the community about data and the benefits of data in development, so that the community is not only an object of development, but also participates in improving development in the region, especially in Semarang Regency.
