The Statistical Literature on SMA Negeri 2 Ungaran

Friday (04/10), BPS-Statistics Semarang Regency provided statistical literacy coaching to students of SMA Negeri 2 Ungaran. This activity as one of the real forms of BPS-Statistics Semarang Regency in improving public services.

The construction of statistical literacy to high school students or equivalent is aimed at expanding the scope of statistical literacy services in the world of education for high school level, where this activity can increase the knowledge and insight of students about statistics and get to know more about BPS.

So it is expected that the utilization of BPS data by high school students can increase.

This time, the statistical literacy training activity targeted students of the XII class of SMA Negeri 2 Ungaran, who took advanced math subjects. The construction of statistical literacy is carried out during the hours of mathematics lessons.

The material presented includes the tasks and functions of BPS, a glimpse of the presentation and analysis of data, as well as the data products produced by BPS. The material was well delivered in a relaxed atmosphere by functional officials at the BPS-Semarang Regency, namely Bayu Arto, SE, Frieda Hesty Fariningtyas, S. Si., and Until Himalaya, A.Md.

This activity was greeted enthusiastically by the participants by asking questions from the material presented.

Hopefully with this activity, the public will increasingly understand the importance of statistics.
