Submission of Poverty Data 2024

Tuesday (10/9), Head of BPS-Statistics Semarang Regency, Dewi Trirahayuni, S.Si, M.Si accompanied by Intermediate Statistician of BPS Semarang Regency, Lin Purwati, S.ST., M.Agb. held a meeting with the Regent of Semarang, submitted poverty data of Semarang Regency 2024 to the Regent of Semarang, H. Ngesti Nugraha, SH, MH. This poverty data is the result of data processing from the Socio-Economic Survey (Susenas) which was carried out in March 2024.

The data submitted includes the percentage of poor people in Semarang Regency in 2024, namely 6.96 percent. This figure is better compared to the percentage of poor people in Semarang Regency in 2023 which reached 7.17 percent.

The Regent of Semarang welcomed the submission of the 2024 poverty data. According to him, this figure is in line with the work program of the Semarang Regency Government in carrying out poverty alleviation programs in Semarang Regency. By increasing community welfare, it is hoped that it will be able to encourage improvements in life in all fields in the Semarang Regency area.
