Fasih-CAPI Trial of Annual Micro and Small Industry Survey (IMK) 2024
June 5, 2024 | BPS Activities
Wednesday (5/6) BPS-Statistics Semarang Regency received a visit from the Small and Household Industry Statistics Team (IKR), Directorate of BPS Industrial Statistics, who was accompanied by the Head of the BPS Industrial Team for Central Java Province. This visit was intended to carry out the 2024 Annual Fasih-CAPI Survey of Micro and Small Industry (IMK) Trial activities in Semarang Regency.
Head of BPS Semarang Regency, Dewi Trirahayuni, S.Si, M.Si. along with the Production Statistics Function Coordinator and Head of the BPS-Statistics Semarang Regency IMK Survey Team, received the visit well.
The 2024 Annual Micro and Small Industry Survey (IMK) Fasih-CAPI trial is very important to ensure that data collection for the 2024 Annual IMK Survey can run well. The use of CAPI (Computer-Assisted Personal Interviewing) is a technological breakthrough made by BPS, where the implementation of data collection which was previously carried out on a paper and pencil basis was transformed into an application-based one. Field practical trials will be carried out on the system that has been built as part of the system feasibility test.
The team from BPS-Statistics Semarang Regency together with the Small and Household Industry Statistics Team (IKR), BPS Industrial Statistics Directorate carried out trial activities in Poncoruso Village, Bawen District. Before going to the field, the team coordinated with regional stakeholders and was welcomed by the Head of Poncoruso Village.
Next, the team carried out trial practice using the Fasih application to collect data for the 2024 Annual IMK Survey. The trial practice process using the 2024 Annual Micro and Small Industry Survey (IMK) Fluency application went smoothly with good cooperation from the respondents.
Apart from carrying out field practice, the team also evaluated the performance of the Fasih application when officers carried out the data collection process. It is hoped that with the trial of the Fasih application, obstacles and problems in the field will no longer be encountered during the implementation of the upcoming 2024 Annual IMK Survey.
