Refreshing KSA and Ubinan for Food Data in Semarang Regency

On 21-22 December 2023, BPS-Statistics Semarang Regency carried out a refresher activity providing material for Ubinan 2024 integrated rice and corn KSA officers. This activity aims to evaluate field data collection for rice and corn and tiles Area Sample Frame (KSA) activities from the beginning of the year to the end of 2023. Apart from that, it is also to improve data quality in 2024.

The activity was carried out in the BPS-Statistics Semarang Regency Office Hall and was attended by all KSA Corn Rice officers and tiles, both officers from BPS organics and BPS partners. The event was opened by the Head of BPS-Satistics Semarang Regency, Dewi Trirahayuni S.Si.,M.Si., who gave directions about the importance of tile data for food data in Semarang Regency. One of the things that was emphasized was that a difference in scales of 1 ounce could cause the data to decrease or increase by 160 kg per hectare.

The presentation of the material was delivered by speaker from BPS-Statistics Semarang Regency, namely Mahmuda Ariyadi, S.Kom. as Young Expert Statistics, who delivered material regarding evaluation of KSA Rice, Corn and Tiles data collection activities. Material provision for officers was carried out in preparation for activities in 2024.

On the second day, practical field activities were carried out for the Rice Tiles Survey and Rice KSA Survey at the location in Candirejo Rice Fields, Ungaran, and continued with a roll call for equipment for tiles.

By carrying out this activity, it is hoped that data collection and processing for KSA and Ubinan activities can be carried out in a timely manner and produce quality data for the realization of food data in Semarang Regency.
